Liquid shower vs. solid shower

In the world of body care, there are two camps that are as different as night and day, as cheese and jam, as socks and sandals – I’m talking, of course, about the enthusiastic supporters of the liquid shower and the unyielding advocates of the solid shower. Let’s dive into this foamy debate and discover what’s really behind the soap foam battle.

Round 1: The application – A slippery puzzle against a hard lump

Let’s start with the liquid shower, the gliding ninja of the bathroom world. It comes along slippery, slips between your fingers like an eel and sometimes leads to acrobatic stunts in the shower cubicle that would make even experienced circus performers blanch. Who hasn’t performed the bottle dance in the shower, where you try to catch the escaping container while at the same time trying not to slip on your own trail of foam?

On the other hand, we have the solid shower, the stoic rock in the surf. It is reliable and down-to-earth until – yes, until it gets wet for the first time. Then it turns into a slippery lump that seems to have a secret mission: to escape from the soap dish. Some solid showers have become so well schooled in the art of escape that they are seriously considering signing up as the next contestants for “The Great Escape”.

Round 2: The journey – A suitcase full of stains vs. a TSA*-friendly powerhouse

Traveling with a liquid shower is like inviting Murphy’s Law to run riot on your luggage. No matter how hard you twist the bottle, somehow – by some dark magic – the contents find their way out and have a foam party in your suitcase. Congratulations, you now have a shampoo perfume on all your clothes.

The fixed shower, on the other hand, packs its tiny suitcase and travels without drama. She’s TSA friendly and won’t let you down when it comes to keeping your suitcases light and your clothes clean. The only risk is that she might be mistaken for an exotic snack at the security checkpoint. “No, dear officer, I’m not snacking on soap, I swear!”

Round 3: Storage – A bottle regiment against a soap opera

Back at home, the liquid shower demands its own shelf, a throne from which it can overlook its realm. It comes in bottles that take up more space than a hamster in a habitrail. And when it runs out, there is always a little bit left over that refuses to leave the bottle – an eternal mystery of physics.

The fixed shower, on the other hand, humbly takes its place in the corner of the shower cubicle, ready to do its job without making a big fuss about it. But watch out when it gets wet! It starts a soap opera with the drain, a greasy affair that can only be prevented by strategically placed soap trays or bags.

The knockout: personal preferences

At the end of the day, the choice between liquid and solid shower comes down to personal preference. Whether you prefer the foamy spectacle of the liquid shower or the earthy simplicity of the solid shower, both have their place in our bathroom.

So, while the bottles and bars continue to battle for bathroom supremacy, we can sit back and enjoy the show.

Because no matter which side you choose, the funny mishaps and small pleasures that both bring are what make the routine of personal hygiene an entertaining part of our everyday lives.
